Lower Layer Design of Narrowband PLC Node for AMR and AMM Applications and Network Layer Protocol Verification
نویسنده
چکیده
This paper describes design of a network node, which uses narrowband powerline communication for data exchange in AMR and AMM networks. Also an implementation of first two ISO/OSI layers is described in this paper. Data reception synchronization and some indicators for upper layer functions as the capabilities of physical layer are detailed. A passage about data link layer is focused on the frame structure and implementation of FEC and ARQ methods for reliable data transfers.

Routing Algorithm for Power Lines
Abstra ct This paper presents new routing protocol designed for use in AMR and AMM systems using powerline communication (PLC) for data collecting and network control at their last mile. First part of the paper describes the AMR and AMM systems and the reasons for their implementation. Further the narrowb and powerline communication as relatively simple way for data transfers at the last mile i...
متن کاملMeasurement and simulation framework for throughput evaluation of narrowband power line communication links in low-voltage grids
High-data-rate narrowband Power Line Communication (PLC) is a prominent candidate for smart grid communications in the low-voltage grid at low operational costs. However, the power-line channel is fairly harsh in terms of time-variance, frequency selectivity, and observable impulsive and narrowband noise sources. These unpredictable phenomena motivate selective measurement campaigns in addition...
متن کاملEvolutionary Computing Assisted Wireless Sensor Network Mining for QoS-Centric and Energy-efficient Routing Protocol
The exponential rise in wireless communication demands and allied applications have revitalized academia-industries to develop more efficient routing protocols. Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) being battery operated network, it often undergoes node death-causing pre-ma...
متن کاملSecure Routing Protocol: Affection on MANETs Performance
In mobile ad hoc networks, the absence ofinfrastructure and the consequent absence of authorizationfacilities impede the usual practice of establishing a practicalcriterion to distinguishing nodes as trusted and distrusted.Since all nodes in the MANETs would be used as router inmulti-hop applications, secure routing protocols have vital rulein the security of the network. So evaluating the perf...
متن کاملDesign of High Gain, High Reverse Isolation and High Input Matched Narrowband LNA for GPS L1 Band Applications Using 0.18µm Technology
Design of Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver with a low noise amplifier (LNA) in the front end remains a major design requirement for the success of modern day navigation and communication system. Any LNA is expected to meet the requirements like its ability to add the least amount of noise while providing sufficient gain, perfect input and output matching, and high linearity. However, mo...
